Mike Laudie

Michael (Mike) Richard Laudie is a Tax Manager at DrillDown Solution, LLC, where he leads the tax department and specializes in tax preparation, planning, and consultation. With over a decade of experience, Mike works with small business owners across various industries, including medical fields, dentistry, and others, helping them find strategies to minimize their tax burdens and prepare for future tax obligations. Known for his logical approach, Mike is often described by his colleagues as “stubbornly convinced that he is always right.”

Mike’s journey into accounting was inspired by his family, with both his wife and father being accountants. Initially resistant to the profession, he eventually took an accounting class to better understand the industry. One class led to another, and soon his passion for math and numbers as an engineer evolved into a love for solving financial puzzles as an accountant. This shift in focus has given him a unique perspective on tax preparation and planning.

Since joining DrillDown Solution in 2014, Mike has developed a deep expertise in helping clients navigate complex tax scenarios. His background in engineering and accounting allows him to tackle problems from different angles, creating practical and efficient solutions for his clients. His personal service philosophy is rooted in precision, ensuring clients receive tax strategies that are tailored to their specific needs.

In addition to his professional work, Mike is actively engaged in his community. He serves on the Board of Directors and is a musician for both Witness Music and the Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra, where his contributions enrich the local cultural scene. Outside of work, Mike enjoys playing board and video games, camping with his family, and watching movies. He speaks Estonian and has maintained a Duolingo streak of more than two years in Spanish. He and his wife, along with their four children, have lived in Utah for the last 15 years, enjoying the beauty and changing seasons of the state.
